George Washington Carver National Monument
George Washinton Carver was world-renowed agricultural researcher. He taught farmers how to grow and preserve nutritious foods as well as how to maximize their yield by rotating crops. He is most known for his discovery of over 300 products from the peanut and sweet potato. In 1914, he convinced Southern Congressmen to move to other crops besides cotton and revolutionized southern agriculture.
