Max Robinson
Max Robinson (1939 - 1988) was he first Black network news anchor. He broke the color barrier broadcasting from Chicago Illinois, for ABC-TV. He would leave ABC in 1983 to become the first Black anchor for WMAQ-TV in Chicago. He won an Emmy in 1980 for coverage the national elections.

Robinson was born in Richmond VA and attended Oberlin College.
